The Black Doula Training

The Black Doula Training is the First Black-Owned Independent Doula Training Organization in the DMV. Our office is located in Ellicott City, Maryland, about 30 minutes from downtown Baltimore. We’re not a big training corporation but instead a small community-based program aimed at teaching OB nurses about physiological birth, use of peanut balls, use of the labor scarf, and use of The Spinning Babies Technique to help resolve fetal malpositioning and shoulder dystocia. Our mission is aimed to provide trainings throughout the U.S about natural and medical birth support to improve delivery and postpartum outcomes. Our program has been Approved by The Maryland Department of Health and The DC Department of Health & Finance.
