Welcome to Beth Am, where we strive to be, in Isaiah’s words, “a house of prayer for all peoples.” Beth Am’s warm, child-friendly community and its pluralistic outlook make it a place so comfortable that many members say it “feels like home.” We are rooted in our historic Reservoir Hill neighborhood and work with our neighbors to build a more just city and world. An urban, egalitarian congregation, we have long celebrated our diversity, including interfaith families, Jews of Color, and members of the LGBTQ community. Affiliated with the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism, our shul blends participatory prayer with applied Torah learning and intellectual critique.
