Avara's Academy of Hair Design is a Baltimore Based Barber School that has been in business since 1960. Our hands-on training is unlike ANY barber school around. As owners of Avara's Academy of Hair, we are 100% involved in the day-to-day training of our students. Our small, old-school barber focused like environment, ensures ALL OUR students get one-on-one attention while practicing the techniques of barbering. Working with real customers and not mannequins' heads is the foundation of our teaching model. The school's long history of a diverse customer base gives our students the repetition necessary to develop the strong skillset they will need to go right from barber school to the Barbering profession.
